...for those of you who are reading both this blog and the Fables:
Would it be helpful, or generally a good idea, for me to number the individual Fables? 1, 2, 3 and so on down the line?
Please advise.

You should definitely have a numerical or chronological archive listing on a seperate page. Divide the fables and set pieces into lists and display them in order on an archive page. That would be easier to use than just the "recent" bar and the calendar listing.

Please expand on this. I do have an archive page (http://fables.bleedingfiction.com/archives/) that I can link to, and I think I could divide the Set Pieces away from the main list, if you think that would help.
I'm not entirely sure I can add the date of each entry, though, without messing up the recent bar.

I don't know how much code-swapping Greymatter is doing for you, but yes, adding a date to each entry in the list on the archive page would be nice. And separating out the set pieces from the other entries would allow the casual surfer to explore the back entries chronologically without interruption.
An archive is simple enough that you don't have to automate it, if that's what you're worried about. Just list the entries, mark them with a number or date (date is probably more appropriate vis a vis webcomic archives) and put a link to it on the main page.
BTW, your log archive for October is longer than the background images. Honestly I don't think you need a monthly archive log if you're doing a comprehensive archive list anyway.

Still working on the dates, but I've changed a few things around, based on your suggestions, Erik. Thoughts?
(Or thoughts from anyone else in the peanut gallery?)
