I Emerge... With Fiction!

As promised, I spent the past two days mostly doing the writing thing and I now have a very nice first draft for a short story done. Except for the part that I needed to know about that picture that I asked about in my last post; so, say, except for about a paragraph.

Folks interested in doing the beta-reading thing can post here or drop me a line through any other available means and I'll pass a copy along, as soon as I can figure out what that damn picture is and finish off that last paragraph . This offer only valid for people that I have met in person or have otherwise been friends with for a long period of time. My apologies to readers who may have cruised over from the Fables or some such, but that's just the way it goes.

. . .

Also, I got my hair cut and it's bad. No pictures, this time around, but suffice it to say that a) it was my fault for letting the enthusiastic (and cute) barber use "the clippers" and b) I'm very happy to be on Spring Break, where my plan was to mostly spend the week holed up in my apartment writing, anyway, and therefore I mostly don't have to appear on the street like this. I'm saddened by my decreased hotness, though.

well you know my e-mail address so sure send it over and i'll rip it to shreds ... err im mean i'll constructively critisize it :)

john:

Congratulations on your short story. Maybe it'll get published. As far as your haircut goes, don't worry, it'll probably grow out enough by Friday where you'll feel comfortable in public

Jason:

Sure, Gus. On its way!

John - my hair does grow fast, yes. We'll see how it goes. I should take a photo every morning and do one of them morphing things. That'd be cool. Only, no, it wouldn't.

gus:

*looks at the inbox* hasn't arrived yet let me send you an e-mail to make sure you have the right one

Jason:

Sent again - let me know how it goes.

gus:

reading it right now and liking it as it happens i'll go this weekend with some friends among them coyotzin who happens to be an editor. if you wish i can let him glance at your work but be warned that he is an evil editor as well as a writer so he can be tough on reviews.

Jacquee:

But-but-I-I NOOOOO! :-( My dreams of beta-testing are dashed!!

*SIGH*

Oh well, good luck anyway.

Jason:

Thanks, Jacquee! And sorry about the lack of beta-reading.
