Now there's something I actually like about Canada.*
*The Bard, to my mind, doesn't really count as Canadian. Nor do the members of Rush.

...Jason, I'm not sure whether or not to take offense at that.

You are absolutely not. You're far too cosmopolitan to be confined to any one country. Yeah, baby!

Honestly, there's really nothing at all wrong with Canada. It's just a hobby of mine to make fun of Canada. A hobby of many USAians, really.
Actual quotes from actual conversations:
Canadian: No, really, what do Americans think about Canada? Honestly?
American: Honestly? We don't.
--
American: I wonder what it would be like to have no culture of your own?
--
Homer Simpson: Why would I want to leave America to go to America Junior?
--
Really, I've got no actual opinion on Canada one way or the other, but it's funnier if I pretend to hate it.

Quite possibly my favorite Canada-related quip from the Simpsons (and there are a lot of them) is when the U.S. and Canadian rescue teams are fighting over who gets to save Homer and Marge from going over Niagra Falls, at which point the Canadian captain says:
"Back off, you Shatner-stealing Mexico-touchers."
Priceless.

Today's Dinosaur Comics sums it up pretty well.

You just like it because it used the word chimerical.
"Aw heck! I fucked up Canada!"
Classic.

Heh. Dinosaur Comics gets run in one of the UfT campus papers. Honestly can't remember if its one of the main ones, like The Varsity, or if its one of the local Vic ones (which I think is The Strand).

Hee.
Bard, Jason says you're from OT. I thought you were from BC. Which is it? If it's TO...well, we'll see you soon.

Thank you, Rutgers.
