A Warrior Worth a Thousand

Those of you who don't read the comments section around here might not have caught that Sarah, Who is Awesome, put a link there to a quiz asking what may well be the most important question of this or any age: "Which Dynasty Warrior are you?"

My answer is as follows:

Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme Legends - GUAN YU

I don't really feel that that's accurate. That is to say I'm pretty sure that the earth does not begin to rumble when I set foot on a battlefield, nor do I think that my awesome pressence strikes fear into the hearts of all who stand before me. At the same time I don't live in fourth century China, so I guess it's all relative.

I'm happy to report that I bought Dynasty Warriors 5 yesterday. There's a certain mix of satisfaction and tension that the little Koei sound effect brings to my heart. It's a good thing I didn't really have anything planned for today...

I don't know how I became 'a chick' but the description is pretty close I guess.

Erik:

Second time through was Guan Yu. Interesting I guess. Kind of easy to peg if you know the characters.

Hi Jason,

So how are things going with Dynasty Warriors 5? Has anyone seen you at all since you acquired the game or have you managed to pull yourself away? :)

I hit a new milestone lately and have learned how to somewhat more consistently manage to block arrows with my spear while playing as Zilong or Ma Chao on horseback (well, as long as I am not being shot in the back, that is...but what can anyone do about being shot by archers in the back anyway?), which is pretty cool since I don't get knocked off the horse. And then it is even easier to snuff out the offending archers who were impertinent enough to send those arrows my way anyway! If I ever manage to do it all the time, that would be really cool...

We should have played a lot more DW5 while I was there in New Jersey... So much of ancient China was left untouched...

Hooray for Koei,

Sarah K

Sarah, I think I love you. ^_^

Oh, that is so sweet... I am blushing. I don't think that I have ever been loved for a comment about snuffing out impertinent archers before!

:) :)

The Last Oni:

What sort of archers have you been loved for snuffing out?

Jason:

Me, I was going to ask how often she makes comments about snuffing out the archers.

Then I realized that she probably does that all the time... ^_^

I have never been loved for snuffing out any archers at all before as far as I know, impertinent or otherwise.

I do not think I make comments about snuffing out archers very often, either (now smiting archers, that is a different story...I love smiting archers and telling Ogre about it). At any rate, as far as I know, this is the first time that I have been loved for vanquishing any sort of archer or crossbowmen in any method, form, or fashion. :)

It is good to feel loved! :)

Jason:

It feels good to smite things, too. What a wonderful combination... ^_^
