Tell Me Of John Hodgman

I just saw John Hodgman interviewed on the Daily Show. He was very funny, in a sort of understated way, and was hawking his book. If he was funny, I think maybe his book will be funny. I think maybe it would be funny to hear him speak tonight (Thursday).

But I've never heard of the guy before and can't seem to find anything exciting about him on the intarweb, so I just don't know.

So, please, enlighten me. Tell me of this man called John.

Eric:

That interview was hysterical. I was overcome with waves of uncontrollable giggles.

Didn't Jon Stewart say that he was a regular contributor to NPR's This American Life? Might be worth checking that show out...

Jason:

Hhm. Right you are, Eric. Hodgeman shows up a few times in a search on This American Life. I like his little bit on superpowers. Also does a lecture series in NYC. The excerpts sound cool; wish I could go. Unfortunately, I've got trouble listening to spoken-word stuff for long periods of time - I look for some visual stimulation, but that leads me to tune out the sound. Grr.

Anyway, I'm sold. I'll buy his book in a day or so.
