White Powder Makes Me Happy

It's snowing here in Seattle, right at the opening of December. It's still a bit warm out, though, so the snowing turning straight to water on the roads and to slush on the sidewalks. Everything else, though, like lawns and rooftops, is getting a nice dusting of white. Very nice looking. I imagine that this bodes well for the rest of the winter.

I felt better yesterday than I did on Tuesday, but felt a bit cruddy again today - enough so that I slept in and skipped Japanese class. I'm feeling generally okay now, though; I'll have some tea in a bit and hope for the best. I think skipping class today is the death knell for Japanese, though; I was pretty pissed, being there yesterday, all for stupid reasons, and I was happy not to go today. I'm pretty much done with that class, now.

Yesterday, I spoke with the Admissions guy for the Evans School and how I want into their Public Affairs program (and out of the Japan Studies program I'm currently in. I mentioned this idea at the beginning of the month. The outlook is optimistic, to say the least. They don't guarantee my admission, but my odds are beyond good. Further, I'll get credit for basically every class I've taken so far that's relevant to Public Affairs. Since part of the program is an area focus... yeah. They'll honor most of my credits, in other words. Now I just need to figure out which classes to take. This is unabashedly good.

Hmmm Jason as a spin doctor.... do you have the moral "latitude" for this type of thing? I mean I know Jon does.

Jason:

Spin Doctor? Oh, dude, no. Not Public Relations; Public Affairs. Like, non-profit management and such.

Brian:

The JCC on the Palisades is calling to you....

Jeni G:

That's a strange headline. Fortunately I know you are a clean dood and only meant snow. Has the city shutdown? Is everyone freaking out? I say head to the mountains...

Jason:

I am totally a clean dood. But behold the power of my double entendre. Also of my vague Better Off Dead reference.

City wasn't shut down much, roads were pretty good. And now all is back to snow-free normal.

And I'm not going to work for the JCC, no.

Zach:

Non profit???? And me getting a paramedic liscence... is this gonna turn out so that art imitates life??? That isnt JCC calling it is the local Unitarian shelter

Zach:

Errrr life imitates art.....

Jason:

You know, aside from the part where Gus would get gunned down in a horrible fashion in front of our place of business, that wouldn't be so bad.

I'd complain about having to constantly butt heads with the idiots that I find myself wandering into my life on a daily basis, but that's not really so different from now, is it? ;)

Zach:

Yeah just as long as I dont get trapped in the closet with you and Gus in my undies.... And well a Neurotic OCD type is what we have jon for right?

If you do end up going something along those lines, please don't do it in any town in Georgia or any city anywhere in the world that's called New Bremen, or Bremen.

I think going into PR would be a good move for you. of course, Zachy and I have been pondering him making a bid for Congress. While I'm pretty much being tapped to run his campaign (Yes, I can and will sell out for a chance at real power) I'm sure we could use a crack communications expert to get the train rolling. ;)

Jason:

Tell you what, Jon: You get Zach nominated for Congress with some appreciable backing and I'll come out to handle the communications.

Zach:

Which reminds me one of these days I really do need to talk to you about the possible sale of my soul ...... I figgured you might wanna get in on the bidding

Jason:

I assume you meant Jon, and not me. Because what possible use I'd have for your soul is entirely beyond me.
