Vote Now For Great Vengeance

Thanks to Bettina, my wonderful blog host, I've been looking at some MovableType styles to use for the blog instead of this crappy one. I've narrowed it down to three, but I'm in an indecisive mood today and just can't coose between them. So, in grand intarweb fashion, I'm polling my readers. What do you think, folks? Do I go with:

Option 1

Option 2

or

Option 3

Vote now, or forever rest in peace.

Eric:

Personally, I like Option 1 the best, but Option 2 may better fit the title "Bleeding Fiction."

Once you settle on a template, can you make small changes, like replacing graphics or tweaking colors, to really make it your own?

I see... lime green and pink. ;)

Marc:

None of them really strike me. But that's probably a good thing because I bruise easily.

If these are the only choices, I vote for Option #2. 2 column, right.

Erik:

#2 and #3 are a bit too austere for your purposes, in my opinion. They scream "Academic!" to your page in a way that doesn't need reinforcement - like adding additional exclamation points and ones to 'OMGWTFBBQ?'. I like option #1, but if possible I would suggest a recolor and a mod of the header graphic.

Jason [TypeKey Profile Page]:

I don't think I can recolor/mod the header. Which is unfortunate - while I do like that one, it's both a little too pale and a little too tall for me to be all "I'll take it!" right off the bat.

I dunno, here in the cold light of day I'm leaning towards Option #3, but I'll hold out for a few more days and see if any more votes come in.

Anyone else have an opinion?

The Last Oni:

None of them are you. But three is the least offensive I believe.

Bettina:

I like option # 1. And once you have the files on your site, you can tweak the css as much as you want.

Almost anything is better than the default blueness.

Marc:

So here's an interesting curiousity...

I have absolutely no recollection of writing "OMGWTFBBQ". I did comment on using the 2 column, right align.

Regardless of which format you pick, you might want to check out how the comments are edited.

If it's relevant, I noticed the "error" using Safari v2 running Mac OSX 10.4.7.

Jason [TypeKey Profile Page]:

You didn't write OMG &c., Marc. Erik did. It's just that it's hard to distinguish one comment from the next due to the crappy design.

Still not sure what to do about the look of the site. I wonder if I know anyone who's good with css and graphic design...

I like Option #2 the most, for what it's worth.
